In 2026, Lada Iskra will receive a new, more powerful engine. AvtoVAZ plans to add a 120-horsepower engine to the lineup, developed on the basis of the existing 1.6-liter engine.
The initial modification is equipped with a 90-horsepower 1.6-liter engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. The 1.6-liter engine with a capacity of 106 hp can be equipped with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT.
Next year, the model range is expected to be replenished with a new power unit. We are talking about a boosted version of the already well-known 16-valve naturally aspirated engine. The power of the new 1.6-liter engine will be 120 hp. It is worth noting that the Lada Azimut crossover will also be equipped with this engine. A six-speed manual and a CVT will be offered as a transmission.
