Unique helmet-mounted drone-kamikaze suppression system developed in Russia

The head module with two antennas is attached to the back of the helmet

A new wearable drone jammer has been developed in Russia, which can be used by individual soldiers, Forbes reports.

The complex includes a switching system, a head module with two antennas, a battery, and a display on the arm. The head module with antennas is attached to the back of the helmet.

The system detects a drone by radio signal, and then intercepts the video signal from the drone, which is displayed on the screen on the arm. The operator can then turn on signal jamming.

This design is unique in that most drone countermeasures are not aimed at jamming the video signal. Conventional jammers suppress navigation and control channels.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest R-77M missiles with a range of 190 km have entered service with Su-35S fighters.
