The Perm-based company "Silur" has started producing elastic metal seals for Russian aviation.
One prominent example is the use of elastic metal seals (C-rings) in the aviation industry for the production of PD-14 aircraft engines, used in the domestic MS-21 airliner, as well as in PD-8 engines for the "Superjet" SJ-100 and PS-90A1 for Il-96-400T.
Oleg Isaev, General Director of Silur LLC, noted that the company produces not only a wide range of seals made of thermally expanded graphite, but also new types of seals made of special alloys with various coatings for different industries.
We implement a comprehensive approach to sealing, selection/development, design, manufacturing, and supervision. In addition, we are the only ones on the market who offer the service of "mobile units," which allow us to perform sealing work directly at the equipment's place of operation.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a Major General of Aviation called the plans to build 100 MS-21 aircraft by 2030 unrealistic
