The newest MC-21 passenger aircraft was tested on the Moscow — Syktyvkar — Moscow route. During the flight, the crew checked the operation of airborne collision avoidance systems, inertial navigation systems, communications equipment, and a domestically produced weather radar.
At the M. M. .Gromov Flight Research Institute, it was clarified that the flight was conducted using a standard aircraft departure route from the airport, including restrictions on altitude gain over obstacles and noise reduction in populated areas.
The crew followed established air routes, using onboard navigation systems to accurately maintain the route and maintaining communication with air traffic controllers for coordination and flight safety in controlled airspace.
In the Syktyvkar area, the crew made a descent and flew in a holding pattern, then made two approaches according to the established procedure. The pilots also exited onto the return route via a standard air route.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that a Major General of Aviation called the plans to build 100 MC-21 aircraft by 2030 unrealistic
