In June, according to the UCB (United Credit Bureau), the weighted average rate on car loans for new cars fell to its lowest level in the last 2 years and was below 13.6%. This was made possible by the launch of various subsidy programs from automakers and the state. Unprecedentedly low consumer activity and full warehouses are forcing dealers to make ever greater concessions in price, including through direct discounts, and banks to lower interest rates to the point of being unprofitable.
In turn, the rate on loans for used cars also reached a six-month low, however, in absolute terms, this difference is only 0.5 pp - now such a loan can be taken at 28.2% per annum.
In the first 6 months of 2025, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, preferential loans were issued for 51.7 thousand cars, which is 16% of the total number of loans issued.
