The Kazan Aviation Plant (KAZ) continues to face serious difficulties in the production of the Tu-214.Only the first new aircraft has reached the final assembly stage, although initially it was planned to deliver three aircraft back in 2023.
In fact, production rates remain extremely low, according to Business Online, citing its own sources.
According to their information, KAZ was supposed to deliver three aircraft in 2023, seven in 2024, and 10 in 2025. In total, it was planned to produce up to 115 aircraft by 2030.
Among the main production problems are insufficient funding - the main funds go to the MC-21 and SJ-100 projects, and a "pittance" is allocated to the Tu-214, as well as import substitution - more than 45 aircraft systems required replacement, and not all Russian counterparts are ready.
Earlier,www1.ru reported thatthe American F-35B borrowed a Russian idea from the last century for the function of vertical takeoff and landing.
