High-speed passenger hydrofoil "Evpatoria" handed over to the customer

Project 23160 "Cometa 120M" vessel will operate in the Azov-Black Sea basin

On June 4, Vympel Shipyard handed over the high-speed passenger hydrofoil of project 23160 "Cometa 120M" to the customer. The vessel was named "Evpatoria" after the Crimean city of the same name, the company's press service reported.

The vessel was built at the Vympel Shipyard in Rybinsk in cooperation with the More Shipyard in Feodosia. It has successfully passed a full cycle of sea and acceptance tests.

Under a contract with GTLK, which was concluded as part of a program of preferential leasing of water transport with state funding, USC built two "Cometa 120M" vessels. The first hydrofoil of project 23160 "Cosmonaut Pavel Popovich" went on the Sochi-Gelendzhik route in early June this year. The "Evpatoria" will be operated by the operating company "Marine High-Speed Passenger Transportation" also in the Azov-Black Sea basin.

The high-speed passenger vessel "Cometa 120M" is designed to carry up to 120 passengers in the coastal marine zone at a speed of up to 65 km/h.

Technical characteristics of the hydrofoil hydrofoil "Evpatoria":

  • Length — 35.2 m.
  • Width — 10.3 m.
  • Displacement — 73 t.
  • Navigation autonomy — 8 h.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the catamaran "Cosmonaut Pavel Popovich" went on the Sochi-Gelendzhik route.
