The new generation R-77-SD missile can engage targets at a range of up to 110 km. The ammunition is manufactured by the Vympel State Machine-Building Design Bureau (part of the Tactical Missiles Corporation).

The R-77-SD features a sophisticated multi-channel homing system and is equipped with the latest innovations in digital technology, high-performance components, and modern materials. These features allow the R-77-SD to outperform previous missile models in several key areas.

India urgently purchased R-77-SD missiles from Russia amid rising tensions with Pakistan in order to enhance the combat potential of the national Air Force.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the latest 9M134 Bulat missile will quadruple the ammunition load of the ATGM.
