Engineers from the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI) developed and built a test bench for low-power hybrid power plants (HPP). It will be used to test the operation of promising machines powered by various energy sources.
The creation of a test bench for experimental research will allow debugging the operating modes of the hybrid power plant and determining the optimal parameters of its components.
Upon completion of installation, MAI specialists will check the interaction of all systems of the test bench and put it into operation. The work is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2025.
Installations with a capacity of up to 400 kW of any design, with various types of heat engines, can be connected to the bench. According to the developers, it will be able to conduct a wide range of various types of tests: both acceptance and certification tests.
