Law enforcement agencies in Russia have uncovered a scheme to embezzle approximately 820 million rubles during the supply of drone detection and suppression systems to the National Guard. The company "Armory Chamber" supplied Chinese "Burnout" systems, which turned out to be unsuitable for use.
In November 2023, the National Guard and "Armory Chamber" concluded nine state contracts for the supply of "Burnout" systems from China for a total amount of over 820 million rubles. However, it later turned out that the equipment did not meet the stated tactical and technical characteristics.
Nine criminal cases have been opened on the grounds of fraud against entrepreneur Alexey Rul, whom the investigation considers to be an intermediary in the purchase of equipment in China.
Criminal cases have also been initiated against officials of the company "Armory Chamber". Previously, claims had already been filed against this company in the Arbitration Court by the National Guard for the amount of more than 100.9 million rubles for improper performance of obligations.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the modernized "Zushka" ZU-23-2 has become a threat to drones.
