Chepetsky Mechanical Plant (ChMP) in Udmurtia is launching the production of titanium pipes for aviation. The company's specialists have mastered the production of seven new types of pipes with a diameter of 6.35 to 31.75 mm and a wall thickness of 0.4 to 1.3 mm; this product was previously purchased in Europe.
The pipes are made by cold rolling from domestic titanium deformable alloy OT4-1V. During processing, it is prone to the formation of folds and cracks. In order to achieve the necessary mechanical properties, ChMP has developed individual route-deformation schemes with thermal processing modes.
According to the General Director of ChMP, Sergey Chineykin, the products are intended for systems responsible for the safety and controllability of aircraft.
Today we are expanding our capabilities and mastering new types of products to provide the country's leading industries with modern, high-quality materials.
Earlier www1.ru reported that there was a huge queue for import-substituted MS-21, the liners will have to wait.
