Marshmallows on the Bonfire: UAC Shows Titanium Blanks for Russian Aircraft Parts

Before forging, the metal is heated to a temperature of 950°C

The United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) has for the first time shown forged ingots made of titanium alloy. This material is used to make individual parts for domestic aircraft.

Before starting forging, titanium is heated to a temperature of 950°C. After that, preliminary heat treatment takes place.

Then the blanks are sent to the machining shop, where aircraft parts are made from them.

Earlier, www1.ru also reported that titanium parts for the wing of the new MS-21 aircraft began to be produced in Ulyanovsk
