United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec) will produce and supply more than fifty RD-107A/108A engines for Soyuz family launch vehicles by the end of 2025. This was reported by the Rostec press service.
Rockets are used to launch spacecraft of various purposes into orbit, as well as to deliver cargo and expeditions to the International Space Station (ISS).
It is planned to produce several hundred RD series engine units by 2030.
In 2024, RD-107A and RD-108A rocket engines provided 15 launches of Soyuz-type space launch vehicles from the Baikonur, Vostochny, and Plesetsk cosmodromes.
It was Rostec's installations that helped deliver a record grouping of 51 spacecraft into orbit; the launch took place in November 2024 from the Vostochny cosmodrome.
