Cosmonaut Kirill Peskov, a native of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, recently arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) and has already shared his impressions.
In his first video, published on his personal Telegram channel, he gave a short tour of the station, showing his cabin, the service module, the storage area, and the compartment with spacesuits.
A particularly impressive moment was observing the terminator line — the boundary between the day and night sides of the Earth. During the video recording, the ISS was flying over this area, and from the porthole, one could see the meeting of day and night, creating a stunning spectacle.
The cosmonaut also shared a video of what sunset looks like on the ISS.
More precisely, those moments when the station enters the Earth's shadow, and the sun's rays, refracting and reflecting off the atmosphere, flood our cosmic home with bizarre, rapidly changing colors. Time scale 1 to 1. The video is not sped up and this is not a time-lapse.
Earlier, the new Crew-10 docked with the ISS, which included Russian cosmonaut Kirill Peskov. With their arrival, it became possible for the astronauts of the Crew-9 mission, who had been on the station since the end of September 2024, to return.
