First Flight Date of SJ-100 Superjet in Fully Import-Substituted Configuration Revealed

The plane will take to the skies in April

The first flight of the fully import-substituted SJ-100 Superjet with all domestic systems is scheduled for April, according to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Anton Alikhanov.

He reminded that a Superjet flight with Russian PD-8 engines took place about two weeks ago.

Rostec expects to launch serial production of the SJ-100 aircraft with the Russian PD-8 engine in early 2026, according to the head of the state corporation, Sergey Chemezov. He noted that it could be about 20 aircraft per year.
