The enterprise "ODK-Perm Motors" has developed individual parts for the latest PD-8 engine. This was reported by the United Engine Corporation (ODK).
Olga Osokina, project manager for the development of products at ODK-Perm Motors, noted that the company produces "engines" mainly developed by the ODK-Aviadvigatel design bureau.
The PD-8 engine is not a Perm product – the team of the design bureau developed it, and our plant mastered the manufacture of the combustion chamber, nozzle guide vane, stator and high-pressure turbine working blades. We started the process of mastering new products and preparing production in August 2020 and after 6 months we shipped the first kits for the first PD-8 experimental gas generator.
Osokina added that the company has established a system of operational interaction between the design bureau and production departments, quality services, and introduced advanced information systems for traceability, tracking, monitoring and quality control.
