ODK revealed the manufacturer of turbine blades and combustion chamber of the PD-8 aircraft engine for the SJ-100 airliner

The enterprise "ODK-Perm Motors" has developed individual parts for the latest PD-8 engine. This was reported by the United Engine Corporation (ODK).

Olga Osokina, project manager for the development of products at ODK-Perm Motors, noted that the company produces "engines" mainly developed by the ODK-Aviadvigatel design bureau.

The PD-8 engine is not a Perm product - the team of the design bureau developed it, and our plant mastered the manufacture of the combustion chamber, nozzle guide vane, stator and high-pressure turbine working blades. We started the process of mastering new products and preparing production in August 2020 and after 6 months we shipped the first kits for the first PD-8 experimental gas generator.

Osokina added that the company has established a system of operational interaction between the design bureau and production departments, quality services, and introduced advanced information systems for traceability, tracking, monitoring and quality control.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Russian airlines withdrew 58 aircraft from operation due to the impossibility of repair.
