An aircraft can be built on the basis of the "Sarma" drone

The heavy agricultural drone "Sarma", developed at NSTU NETI, has passed preliminary strength tests. In the spring, the developers will proceed to testing the UAV at the airfield.

The first flight copy was made in a manned version to shorten the testing time.

Declared characteristics of the UAV "Sarma":

  • Flight range (with a hybrid power plant) — 1.2 thousand km
  • Cruising speed — 100 km/h
  • Takeoff weight — 250 kg
  • Payload — up to 120 kg
  • Runway up to 100 m
  • Wingspan — 12 m

The developers plan to build an aircraft based on "Sarma" with a carrying capacity of 100 kg and 250 kg. It will be used for ice reconnaissance in the Arctic.
