Sukhoi Superjet 100 Aircraft to be Modernized: 27.6 Billion Rubles Allocated for this Purpose

A modular interior, additional fuel system, and built-in ladder will be created for the aircraft

The Russian government will allocate 27.6 billion rubles for the modernization of the Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ-100) aircraft between 2025 and 2027. These funds will be used for research, development, and experimental design work aimed at completing the aircraft's certification with maximum use of domestic components and improved flight performance characteristics.

Funding is allocated by year: 9.5 billion rubles in 2025, 8.98 billion in 2026, and 9.13 billion in 2027. Contractors will be selected on a competitive basis on the government procurement website, with the results announced after March 18.

The SJ-100 modernization will include the refinement of existing prototypes, the creation of new design documentation, ground and flight tests, as well as the development of a built-in ladder, modular interior, and additional fuel system.

It is also planned to expand the aircraft's operating conditions and increase its transport capabilities.
