KMZ (Kirov Machine-Building Plant) has signed a contract with "Nakhodka Ship Repair Plant" for the supply of marine deck cranes for fishing vessels intended for crab catching using Japanese conical traps.
The vessels are equipped with special equipment for sorting the catch directly on board, and then load it into cages, which are placed in insulated tanks with sea water (RSW tanks).
Electro-hydraulic cranes, which will be produced at KMZ, will be used to load cages into RSW tanks and unload them ashore or onto receiving vessels. The design of deck cranes will be carried out in the KMZ design bureau, taking into account all the technical requirements of the customer.
The cranes will be manufactured at the holding's production sites in St. Petersburg and in the village of Nazia, Leningrad Region.
