A six-channel version of the electronic warfare (EW) system "Tarakan", capable of effectively countering kamikaze drones, will be sent to the front line in the near future. This was reported by the Novosibirsk experimental design bureau (OKB) "Dronoskop".
The company noted that they are currently producing 4 and 5-channel EW "Tarakan". The product is equipped with an automatic control unit "Dronoskop-4R", which includes suppression only when a kamikaze drone approaches.
This reduces the likelihood of the protected object being detected by the enemy and saves battery power. If the EW system is constantly operating, the enemy is more likely to geolocate its position than if the system is only activated at the moment of an FPV drone attack.
The soldiers reported a case when "Tarakan" neutralized a heavy "Baba Yaga" hexacopter drone, which could not drop mines.
Earlier, a military expert called the Gibka-S anti-aircraft missile system on the Tigr armored vehicle the best option for covering oil depots and airbases from the Lyuty and Baba Yaga UAVs.
