Sales of car tires in Russia for the three quarters of this year increased by 12%. At the same time, 91.5% of total sales were for tires for passenger cars. This was reported by analysts of the "Honest Sign" system.
The sales leader is the Nordman brand (12.8% of the market), followed by Cordiant (7.8%) in second place, and the Kama Tyres brand (6.5%) in third place. The top ten best-selling brands also include Viatti (5.5%), Pirelli (5.1%), Formula (4.4%), Yokohama (3.7%), «Белшина» (3.7%), Sailun (3.6%) and Triangle (3.3%).
The largest number of new passenger car tires per capita was recorded in the Siberian Federal District - 31 tires per thousand residents, while in the Kamchatka Territory this figure reaches 75 tires. In the Urals, there is a high demand for winter tires with studs, which are bought 25 per thousand people.
