UEC and MPO Metallist (part of Rostec) are participating in the Congress of Young Scientists in Sochi. Representatives of these companies will showcase advanced developments created jointly with leading Russian universities. This was reported by the Rostec press service.
Among the exhibits is a blade made of polymer composite materials for aircraft engines. The solution will reduce the weight of the power plant and increase its reliability. This approach will be applied in high-power PD-35 aircraft engines.
Another development is the Comet knee module with microprocessor control. It can be used to improve the quality of life for people with amputated lower limbs.
The module body is 3D-printed and made of an alloy certified for use in space. The owner of such a prosthesis will be able to run.
According to Elena Druzhinina, Managing Director for Cooperation of Science and Business at Rostec, young scientists help develop domestic industry. Their ideas are unconventional and innovative.
In 2025, it is planned to launch a pilot project of industrial postgraduate studies, in which the corporation's enterprises will take part.
