AvtoVAZ plans to start selling a new line of commercial vehicles under the SKM brand in 2026. This was announced by Dmitry Kostromin, Vice President for Sales and Marketing, at the company's presentation.
The introduction of a new brand will allow the manufacturer to strengthen its lineup of light commercial vehicles (LCV).
SKM passenger and cargo vans underwent certification in October 2025. Their production will begin after this process is completed.
The SKM brand was announced in the spring of 2025. The cars are planned to be created based on Chinese models, adapted for the Russian market. Under the new brand, not only cargo and passenger vans will be produced, but also chassis with an open cargo platform.
The assembly of new products can be established at the facilities of the subsidiary "VIS-Avto." This enterprise is engaged in the production of pickups and vans based on Lada.
