The domestic messenger Max has already attracted more than 85 million people. That is how many Russians have registered in it since launch. Over the past month, the increase amounted to 10 million people.
The service's audience has exceeded 55 million daily active users. They have exchanged more than 18 billion messages and made more than 2.5 billion calls. More than 200 million "video circles" have been created and over a billion stickers have been sent. More than 140 thousand public channels have been created by bloggers, companies, and government institutions, which have gathered a total of more than 54 million subscribers.
More than 40 thousand retail outlets have started using age verification technology via "Digital ID." To do this, users only need to scan the QR code in the messenger profile.
The Max messenger is a national platform created by the VK team. It is included in the register of Russian software. The application is available in mobile, desktop, and web versions. Starting September 1, 2025, the Max messenger must be pre-installed on all smartphones and tablets sold in Russia.
