The Rostec State Corporation is working on a truncated version of the MC-21 airliner. The MC-21-210 is planned to have one less fuselage section than the basic MC-21-310. According to the head of the state corporation in an interview with Interfax, the dimensions and other parameters are being calculated.
Based on the dimensions, it [MC-21-210] will accommodate approximately 160-170 passengers. It is premature to give exact figures, because the development is at an initial stage.
It is known that the flight range of the MC-21-210 will also differ from the MC-21-310, but it is not yet known what it will be. The maximum flight range for the MC-21-310 was 5100 km.
In general, according to recently announced data from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the development of a preliminary design for the shortened modification of the MC-21-210 aircraft will cost 1.94 billion rubles in 2024-2025.
