A batch of serial KamAZ-54901 Hi-tech version tractors of the K5+ generation has rolled off the main assembly line of PJSC "KamAZ". This was reported in the manufacturer's press service.
The new version (4x2) introduces the ADAS system — an advanced driver assistance system that includes cruise control, lane keeping assist, emergency braking, EBS electronic braking, ESP stability control system, ABS anti-lock braking system, and ASR traction control system.
The exterior of the KamAZ-54901 is complemented by aerodynamic fairings on the cab and chassis to reduce fuel consumption by 5-10%. The model is equipped with a modernized 13-liter KamAZ P6 910 engine with a power of 560 hp and a torque of 2600 Nm.
For comparison, the basic version of the KAMAZ-54901 tractor unit is equipped with a 483 hp engine. In addition, the new configuration of the tractor is equipped with a 12-speed automated manual transmission with a retarder — a hydraulic retarder, which allows to increase the service life of the brake mechanisms.
The tractor can travel up to 5000 km on two full tanks.
The new generation cab, 2.5 meters wide with a high roof and two sleeping berths, provides comfortable conditions for the driver, including a flat floor and an internal height of about two meters. The equipment also includes a refrigerator.
The cab frame is made using galvanized parts, cataphoretic priming and modern painting methods. This ensures resistance to corrosion even in harsh operating conditions.
Currently, 20 copies of the KamAZ-54901 have rolled off the company's assembly line. In December, it is planned to produce another 15 vehicles. Ten tractors will be exported.
