The Rostec State Corporation presented the newest 177S engine for domestic combat aviation at the Airshow China-2024 exhibition. The manufacturer of the new product is the United Engine Corporation.
The development is capable of increasing the flight range of tactical aviation aircraft. The reduced fuel consumption in all operating modes will reduce operating costs.
In addition, the engine provides increased power consumption for powering the electronic systems of modern aircraft. UEC is also demonstrating full-size models of the new AL-31FN series five and SM-100 engines to foreign partners for the first time. Their creation uses technologies and materials characteristic of fifth-generation engines.
The company also shows a full-size model of the new VK-1600V engine for medium helicopters and the TV7-117ST-01 turboprop engine for regional aircraft.
