The "Radioelectronic Technologies" Concern (part of Rostec) presented a laser suppression station at the Airshow China 2024, which is part of the "President-S" aircraft бортовой defense system. The product has been improved taking into account the experience of use in the combat zone.
The laser station is designed to protect aircraft from being hit by ground and air средств with an optical guidance system.
Thanks to the modernization of the complex, it was possible to expand the range of enemy средств поражения suppressed by the system.
"President-S" is also installed on Mi-26, Ka-52 and Mi-28 helicopters. The complex is capable of suppressing optical homing heads of anti-aircraft guided and air-to-air missiles, including homing heads of missiles of man-portable air defense systems.
