The Russian military transport aircraft Il-76MD-90A(E) has been presented to 11 foreign customers during the year. The Il-78MK-90A tanker aircraft was presented to five delegations of partner air forces by a special exporter, said Alexander Mikheev, General Director of Rosoboronexport.
He recalled that the premiere foreign show of the Il-76MD-90A(E) military transport aircraft took place at the Dubai Airshow 2023. After that, the aircraft was demonstrated at the World Defense Show 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
It attracted increased attention at both exhibitions due to the fact that the aircraft was presented in a new technical guise with expanded functionality and an updated composition of onboard equipment, ensuring the implementation of both transport and special tasks.
Mikheev noted that the advantage of the Il-76MD-90A(E) is its multifunctionality. It allows you to quickly transport goods and troops, extinguish man-made and natural fires, evacuate the wounded and sick.
