The "Roselectronics" holding of the Rostec State Corporation has for the first time shown abroad an infrared camera that can "see" in any weather conditions and at any time of the day for tens of kilometers. This happened at the International Airshow China-2024.
The UTK-4 infrared camera was developed by specialists of the Central Research Institute "Electron" as part of "Roselectronics". It operates in the near infrared range (SWIR) 0.95-1.65 μm. Due to laser illumination, the detection range of objects by the device is 3-3.5 times greater than that of medium- and long-wave range systems.
The system can:
- be used in surveillance systems for various purposes, including during rescue operations on water;
- be synchronized with laser illumination, which allows suppressing the foreground and background of the image;
- detect objects and form high-resolution images even in complete darkness, during fog, rain, or dust storms.
Earlier at this exhibition in Zhuhai, Rostec first presented the latest 177S aircraft engine for combat aviation. It is capable of increasing the flight range of aircraft.
