According to a study by WhoIsBlogger, the average audience reach of long videos on YouTube in Russia has almost returned to 2023 levels, despite the overall slowdown of the video hosting platform. The study analyzed data from 48,000 YouTube channels, providing a fairly complete picture of the current situation.
According to research, between September 30 and October 6, the decrease in reach for long videos was only 0.8% compared to the same period in 2023. For comparison, the maximum drop was observed in the week of August 18-24, when it reached 28% compared to last year. This suggests that long videos have begun to gradually recover after a significant drop.
At the same time, the authors of the study noted that YouTube Short videos continue to lose views, unlike long videos. The absolute figures regarding reach are not provided in the WhoIsBlogger report, but analysts emphasize that median values in percentage terms are more representative for understanding the overall dynamics.
