A paradise for drivers: Turks seek access to Tatarstan's car services

Auto component manufacturers want to create a logistics center for auto parts in Naberezhnye Chelny

Due to the complex scheme of delivering parts from Turkey to Russia, imports have decreased. But large companies are correcting this by moving logistics centers to Russia. Turkish manufacturers of car parts want to make a spare parts warehouse in Naberezhnye Chelny.

We would like to open a logistics center in Tatarstan as soon as possible with a full range of spare parts for European-brand trucks, as equipment downtime costs the owner more than repairs.
Murat Turhan, CEO of the Turkish holding KCS «Кочасланлар»

The head of the holding said that they had previously managed to agree with partners and open a head warehouse in the Moscow region. From there, spare parts are supplied for MAN, Renault, DAF, Volvo trucks, which are still in use in Russia.

According to Turhan, Turkey is a "paradise for car owners" because many European companies make spare parts there, so you can find original and local auto components there.

In Tatarstan, we are considering KAMAZ as a partner, since we could provide them with many spare parts.

As a reminder, in the summer of 2024, Iran increased exports of auto parts to Russia by 450%. The volume of supplies in this direction over the past two years reached $66 million.

According to 2023 data, the secondary market for automotive spare parts in Russia amounted to $27.2 billion, according to 2023 data. Most often, Russian motorists purchase tires. This group of goods occupies 14% of the spare parts market. It is followed by various suspension parts.

At the same time, recently Russian car services have faced a shortage of parts due to the increase in sales of used cars.
