Specialists from the Tula Instrument Design Bureau have begun the final stage of the development program for the promising small-sized 82-mm anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) 9M134 "Bulat", which was announced back in 2018. This was reported by military expert Evgeny Damantsev.
He noted that the new product borrowed the layout from the heavier 9M133M-2 ATGM of the "Kornet" complex, with a mass of 6.5 kg and a range of up to 3500 m. With such characteristics, it practically reaches the parameters of the 9M113M complex "Konkurs-M".
Damantsev pointed out that 9M134 has a tandem cumulative warhead, but with armor penetration of about 250 mm behind dynamic protection instead of 1300 mm for "Kornet".
Consequently, the new ATGM is designed to engage the enemy's main battle tanks only in the stern and side projections, as well as heavy infantry fighting vehicles CV90 Stridsfordon-90, M2A2 ODS-SA and 1A3 Marder in all sectors of armor projections without exception, except for those covered by BRAT-2 ERA elements.
Earlier,www1.ru reported that the latest electronic warfare equipment for echeloned protection against drones will betested in Russia. The new devices will provide directed interference to UAVs.
