The Special Design Bureau - 2 (SCB-2, part of the military-industrial holding "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant") has developed a differential gearbox for tractors. This was reported by the company's press service.
The development can be used with different tractor modifications.
The gearbox is equipped with a differential and is designed to receive torque from the engine crankshaft and transmit it further to the transmission components. The main gear is responsible for receiving and reducing torque, the inter-wheel differential distributes the received torque between the wheels and regulates the wheel speeds during turns.
The gearbox is equipped with mountings for attaching the housing to the bases. Seals prevent leakage of transmission fluid for lubricating gears and the differential. The device housing is made of high-strength steel. This protects the inter-wheel differential and the main gear from external influences.
Earlier www1.ru reported that KMZ developed a new technology for the production of tooling for gas turbine engine blades.
