Russian Cosmonauts Conduct Series of Experiments on ISS Before Returning Home

Cosmonauts observed the Earth's surface using a hyperspectrometer

Cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS), members of Roscosmos' 71st long-duration expedition — Oleg Kononenko, Nikolai Chub, and Alexander Grebenkin, continued to execute the flight program of the Russian segment of the station on July 30.

The cosmonauts were preparing to return home — the crew tried on the placement in individual "Kazbek-UM" reclining seats of the "Soyuz MS-25" spacecraft.

The following experiments were carried out during the day:

  • «Взаимодействие-2»: studying the patterns of crew behavior during a long space flight;
  • «Ураган»: тестовый сеанс наблюдений с использованием гиперспектрометра, доставленного грузовым кораблём «Прогресс МС-27». Этот эксперимент включает получение гиперспектральных изображений земной поверхности в видимом и ближнем инфракрасном диапазонах спектра;
  • «Ураган»: a test session of observations using a hyperspectrometer delivered by the «Прогресс МС-27» cargo ship. This experiment includes obtaining hyperspectral images of the Earth's surface in the visible and near-infrared ranges of the spectrum;
  • «Дубрава»: monitoring forest ecosystems;
  •  «УФ-атмосфера»: mapping the night atmosphere in the near ultraviolet range with a wide-angle detector with high aperture and spatiotemporal resolution;

Кроме того, был проведен суточный холтеровский мониторинг электрокардиограммы и регистрация артериального давления у космонавтов.

In addition, a 24-hour Holter monitoring of the electrocardiogram and registration of blood pressure in cosmonauts was carried out.
