The press service of the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation announced changes in the conditions of preferential mortgages for IT specialists. One of the key changes is that IT specialists will not be able to switch to work in another field from accredited IT companies without repaying the preferential loan they took out. Previously, the minimum period of work in an IT company was five years from the date of the loan.
The changes also affected the interest rate on preferential mortgages. Previously, the rate did not exceed 5%, now it is no more than 6%.
New requirements have been introduced for the salary level before personal income tax. Now the minimum salary level is 150 thousand rubles for cities with a population of one million or more, the Moscow and Leningrad regions, and 90 thousand rubles for the remaining regions. This criterion applies to all specialists, regardless of their age.
IT specialists working in companies registered in Moscow and St. Petersburg will no longer be able to take advantage of IT mortgages. Previously, the program was available to all regions of the country.
You can switch to other IT companies an unlimited number of times throughout the entire mortgage term. The main thing is that they are accredited and receive tax benefits.
