Russian engineers have enhanced the all-aspect protection and anti-cumulative resistance of T-72B tanks using modular and dynamic protection elements. The authors of the improvements have received a corresponding patent.
The utility model will improve all-aspect protection and increase its anti-cumulative resistance. The technical result is increased protection and fire safety of the tank.
The T-72 tank, developed back in Soviet times, had a drawback in that it had insufficient protection, which was only available in frontal projection. Therefore, the designers reinforced the unprotected parts with modular and dynamic protection elements, lattice screens, and a frame structure on the turret, which received the military nickname "mangal".
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the repair of engines of large military equipment is now being carried out near the front. If the engine blocks are not damaged, the repair company will fix them without contacting the factories.
