The High-Precision Complexes holding (part of Rostec) has produced a new mini-missile for the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun system. The product is designed to combat drones and other small aerial targets.
Rostec will showcase mini-missiles for the Pantsir at the "Fleet-2024" exhibition in Kronstadt. These munitions for the Pantsir anti-aircraft missile and gun system were developed by our High-Precision Complexes holding. The products are designed to combat drones and other small aerial targets.
The new missiles have the standard configuration for the Pantsir complex – a booster stage and a sustainer stage, but with significantly reduced dimensions, both in terms of the product's diameter and its length.
As a result, one Pantsir-SM combat vehicle can be equipped with 48 anti-drone missiles instead of 12 standard missiles. The new missiles are significantly cheaper than the standard ones, which will increase the economic efficiency of the Pantsir-SM, as there will be no need to engage drones with munitions that cost at least ten times more than the target itself.
The exhibition will also showcase another solution for air defense – an air space control system. The complex is capable of detecting and tracking UAVs at a distance of up to 30 km.
In addition, visitors to the exhibition will learn about naval aviation aircraft, including Su-30SM fighters, which often accompany NATO air equipment in the skies of the Baltic.
The International Maritime Defense Show "Fleet-2024" takes place in Kronstadt from June 19 to 23.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Russia may begin to use the Resurs-P satellites for military purposes. Their resolution will allow uncovering disguised enemy deployment points and tracking the accuracy of strikes.
