The "Kingisepp Machine-Building Plant" (KMZ) will for the first time present the "Vizir-2M" hydrographic boat with a special highly sensitive gyro-stabilized platform at the "Fleet-2024" Naval Show, which opens on June 19 in Kronstadt. The boat's trials were successfully completed in May, according to Mikhail Danilenko, Managing Director of KMZ.
The special platform allows for smooth operation in rough seas and strong winds, maintaining set targets and quickly focusing on them.
How the unmanned boat can be used:
- transportation of hydrographic equipment
- surveying hard-to-reach objects
- placement of high-precision equipment, including satellite communication systems
KMZ plans to manufacture high-speed servo drives for platform control. Its payload capacity is approximately 150 kg.
The "Vizir-2M" unmanned boat has attracted interest from companies within "Rosneft" and "Gazprom". It is also being considered by other enterprises in the extractive industry.
