Russian Railways (RZD) has started developing a waiting list for purchasing tickets online. The company is also developing a service for quickly purchasing tickets with a set of parameters specified by the client.
According to Yuri Danilov, Deputy Head of the Informatization Department of Russian Railways, the system is in the active development stage, and the first stage will be launched in May.
The waiting list is an opportunity to actually stand in line, rather than receive a notification about an available ticket for purchase. People will be able to buy a ticket in advance if the carrier adds additional cars or other passengers cancel their tickets.
The holding is also working on a service of the Informatization Department of Russian Railways, which will be launched in the third quarter of 2024. Danilov explained that most unsuccessful ticket purchases are due to the fact that the client spends too much time choosing a seat on the train diagram.
Because of this, it is sometimes not possible to buy tickets. In order to prevent this from happening, we are developing this service, you set a set of parameters and an instant purchase occurs.
