Названы преимущества и недостатки новых автомобилей VOLGA

The cars' advantages include a striking design, while their disadvantages include poor adaptation to Russian conditions

The revived VOLGA cars have a recognizable design but may be poorly adapted to Russian conditions. Additionally, the brand's dealer network may be underdeveloped at first, according to Alexander Kovalev, a representative of Expocar.

The fact is that the cars are rebadged Changans. Kovalev believes that they may have problems with adaptation to Russian conditions. The dealer network is also unclear. Insiders reported that the cars could be sold through former Skoda dealers.

Kovalev attributed the association of the brand with conservative design to the disadvantages of the new VOLGA, and young people are not aware of what VOLGA is.

Those who still have warm associations with the "Volga" prefer cars with a more conservative design, and the target audience of Volga – young and technologically advanced buyers – are not familiar with the brand.

He assumes that up to 25,000 cars under the VOLGA brand may be sold next year. Probably, a third of the cars will go to the corporate fleet.

Kovalev believes that the K30 model will be popular, since crossovers are popular in Russia. The C40 sedan may also be bought up. According to the expert, the passenger car will be taken to taxi fleets, corporate fleets and state institutions.

The Expocar representative suggested that the cost of the VOLGA C40 will range from 2.2 million rubles to 2.7 million rubles, the K30 crossover will cost 2.5-3 million rubles, and the full-size K40 crossover will cost from 3 million rubles to 3.6 million rubles.
