In Russia, 29.6 thousand new cars were sold from May 13 to 19. The LADA brand occupies 34.5% of the market. This figure can be considered a new record. For six weeks in a row, LADA's market share has not fallen below 30%.
The top 9 foreign cars are dominated by Chinese brands. There are practically no others in the Russian new car market left. Among the "Chinese", Haval leads with 10.6% market share, Chery - 9.6% and Geely - 7%. Among the lagging brands - the share of the Russian market, which is from 3.7% to 1.7% - Omoda, Exeed, Belgee, Jetour and Jaecoo. "Moskvich", which switched to the production of cars in a full cycle, is not in the top.
As a reminder, earlier the head of AvtoVAZ, Maxim Sokolov, complained about Chinese automakers. They provide large discounts on their cars. In this regard, the domestic auto giant advocates increasing the recycling fee. The government wants to consider this proposal and the fee is likely to be increased.
