Russian company Evolute has announced plans to release the i-Space hybrid car. Car enthusiasts have noticed that the car visually resembles the Chinese crossover Dongfeng Fengon E5.
According to Evolute's press service, the car will be a seven-seater. Under the hood of the i-Space, a hybrid power plant with a total output of 178 hp and a torque of 300 N⋅m, with front-wheel drive, will be installed. The car will also be equipped with a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine operating as a generator to charge the 17.5 kW traction battery.
On electric power, the Evolute i-Space can travel about 87 km, and with a charged battery and a full tank - 1150 km. It is noted that the fuel consumption will be at the level of 5.5 liters per 100 km. The i-Space will hit "hundred" in 7.4 seconds.
Evolute will establish hybrid production at a plant in the Lipetsk region. The cost of the car, as well as the start date of sales, has not yet been disclosed.
Earlier, Motorinvest, which owns production facilities in the Lipetsk region, stated that, given economic feasibility, they are ready to assemble cars with internal combustion engines.
