The first unmanned all-terrain vehicle "Kaluzhanin" has been created in Russia, capable of overcoming snow and swamps. It will be mass-produced at the beginning of the year, and now the miracle technology is undergoing the necessary stages of registration and testing.
Thanks to its hydraulic system, a variety of attachments are attached to the snow and swamp vehicle developed by "MPK-Stal": construction, rescue or military.
According to "Vezdekhoder", "Kaluzhanin" is independent and withstands difficult off-road conditions without breakdowns. It can move 1 km away from the operator, but its system allows you to mount any radio control system with any transmission signal if desired.
Characteristics of "Kaluzhanin"
The dimensions of the all-terrain vehicle are small: length 3.3 meters, width – 2.5 meters, height – 1.8 meters. The total curb weight is 1.5 tons, the payload is up to a ton.
«Kaluzhanin» received a diesel engine with a capacity of 58 hp/35 hp. In the future, an electric version is also being considered, but so far the developers have settled on a diesel version. Fuel consumption varies from 5 to 8 l/h depending on the soil and conditions around. The capacity of the fuel tank is 70 liters.
The suspension of the SUV is pneumatic-circulating, there is an independent hydraulic drive for each wheel. The tires on the wheels are ultra-low pressure with a pumping function while driving.
