The question of the mass launch of the T-14 "Armata" tank has actually been decided - mass production has been postponed. The decision is quite logical, because the military is betting on proven vehicles that can be quickly built and repaired.
The country has taken a new path, instead of the expensive "Armata", an improved, reliable and adapted to modern combat T-90M2 will appear.
"Ryvok-1": a new stage of development
Information appeared in the media that in 2026 the Russian army will receive the first batch of T-90M2 tanks for military trials as part of the Ryvok-1 development work.
While "Armata" is a platform for testing technologies, engineers are bringing the well-known T-90 to a new level. The designers have turned it into an adaptive combat system capable of quickly changing to the realities of modern combat.
Protection, intelligence, survivability
The Arena-M active protection complex (KAZ) will become a standard part of the tank. It protects the vehicle from anti-tank missiles and shells, including the main threat - top attacks.
The tank will be equipped with advanced protection against drones and an electronic warfare system. The experience of recent years has clearly demonstrated that without this, the vehicle will not last long.
Full digitalization
The Ryvok crew will receive an updated combat compartment with large-format displays, all-round visibility and a system for combining data from dozens of sensors.
Maneuverability will be improved thanks to the improved reverse system and transmission. The T-90M2 gun will be able to fire guided missiles at a distance of up to 12 km.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the personal initiative of an engineer from the Chelyabinsk NPO Elektromashina accelerated the production of protection for the T-90M and the Okhotnik combat modules.
