Moscow courts have fined Telegram more than 100 million rubles since the beginning of 2026, law enforcement agencies told Interfax. The main part of the decisions is related to the failure to delete information prohibited in Russia.
The messenger was held liable under Part 2 of Article 13.41 of the Code of Administrative Offenses – for refusing to restrict access to content that must be deleted at the request of Roskomnadzor.
Pressure on the service continues at the level of restrictions. In February, Roskomnadzor stated that Telegram still does not comply with Russian legislation, so the measures introduced in August 2025 will remain.
One of the latest fines Telegram received from the Tagansky Court – 3.5 million rubles for improper monitoring of prohibited content. This decision was included in the total amount of penalties for the first half of the year.
