The "High-Precision Complexes" holding (part of Rostec) has begun serial production and supply of "Mnogotochie" anti-drone cartridges to the troops. The development is designed to combat unmanned aerial vehicles and is produced in two calibers – 5.45 and 7.62 mm.
The main feature of the ammunition is a three-element bullet that separates in flight, increasing the probability of hitting the target. Each of the three elements spins upon exiting the barrel, which ensures trajectory stabilization. The effective range reaches 300 meters for the 7.62 mm caliber and 100–150 meters for 5.45 mm.
"Mnogotochie" cartridges are compatible with the standard automatic weapons of the Russian military, which eliminates the need for soldiers to carry an additional shotgun for drone protection. In addition, the ammunition is relatively safe for use in urban environments: at distances over 500 meters, the bullet elements quickly lose energy and damaging properties.
