Foreign law enforcement agencies interested in Russian Saiga-12K and MP-155 shotguns

The discussion concerns semi-automatic anti-drone shotguns showcased at an exhibition in New Delhi

Kalashnikov Concern is promoting its anti-drone systems in India. The semi-automatic smoothbore shotguns Saiga-12K and MP-155 have attracted the interest of local law enforcement agencies and security services, according to the Indian publication IDRW. The shotguns are designed to engage FPV drones and quadcopters.

In addition to the shotguns themselves, a family of specialized cartridges from Techcrim is offered. The lineup includes the 12-gauge "Antidrone KS" cartridge with an effective range of up to 75 meters and the "Perekhvat" cartridge with six connected striking elements. Anti-drone buckshot charges have also been developed for assault rifle and rifle calibers — 7.62×39, 5.45×39, 5.56×45, and 7.62×51 mm.

Indian manufacturers are moving in the same direction: local companies have already received contracts to supply their own anti-drone shotguns to the army.
