PD-8 and PD-35 Developer Leaves Moscow

ODK to Relocate Head Office to a Russian Region

The United Engine Corporation will relocate its head office from Moscow to one of Russia's regions. This was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

According to him, this is a continuation of the policy of moving large state-owned companies out of the capital to develop regions and create new centers of industrial growth.

We agreed on the relocation of large state-owned companies and corporations from Moscow to the regions. A corresponding decision has been made regarding the United Engine Corporation.

ODK is the key developer of the entire line of new-generation Russian aircraft engines: from the serial PD-14 for the MS-21 to the PD-8 for the SJ-100 and the promising super-powerful PD-35 for future heavy aircraft.

However, these factories are already located in Russian regions. For example, PD-14 is built by "ODK-Perm Motors", PD-8 by Rybinsk "ODK-Saturn", and PD-35 by Perm "Aviadvigatel".

The relocation of a developer's office to the regions has already happened recently. The serial production of Khrunichev Center rockets is finally being moved from Moscow to Omsk.
