Boeing 737 analog: MC-21 has completed only 30% of flight tests

SJ-100 is already close to completing certification

The Russian medium-haul airliner MC-21 has already completed about 30% of its flight test program. This was announced by the head of Rosaviatsia, Dmitry Yadrov.

According to him, the import-substituted SJ-100 has progressed even further – the aircraft has already passed about 70% of the test program.

The MC-21 has become a key project for the civil aircraft industry. The aircraft is being created as a completely domestic alternative to the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320.

Test pilot of PAO "Yakovlev" Oleg Mutovin stated that Russian aircraft manufacturers have surpassed the world in competencies in creating the MC-21 aircraft. It was built entirely with domestic components – something no other country can boast of.
